Seattle Teacher Says Tests Kill Learning

A sixth-grade teacher in Seattle was suspended for refusing to give his students a federally-mandated standardized test.

Science teacher Carl Chew said for years he watched his students suffer with test anxiety. Some, he said, got physically sick and others actually cried. He said the test created an atmosphere he called “rife with fear,” so he just decided not to give it.

This didn’t sit well with his principal who suspended him for nine days without pay for insubordination.

The teacher’s actions made him a hero for a lot of parents who sent him letters from as far away as Hawaii and Canada. A lot of people think the tests are harmful to students because of all the pressure put on them by schools, teachers and sometimes parents.

But others argue that we need some way to know where students stand academically.

There are several teachers across the country who have taken a stand like this Seattle teacher. His act will cost him about $1,000 dollars. It may go on his permanent record and, ultimately, he could lose his job.

I applaud him for standing up for what he believes in but he has to be ready for his consequences. The fact of the matter is...he didn’t do his job so he might have to hear the words, “You’re fired.”

For my view, i would say what Mr.Trump is right. He point out what is the education system is going wrong. Our country education system is teaching the people to be the machine without creative thinking.



1980 generation is less creative thinking, less common sense. Only the thing they know is how to enjoy their life without thinking about their retirement, their future.



All those caused by our government which is only care about they needs and money. Our government NEVER think about how to increase our people international view and thinking, how to make Malaysians more creative, efficiency. You all must ask why, simply because they want keep they place luxury and don't want they place to be sink. When the people is prepare by the thing as i describe before, the ruling government will change to opposition, its mean current government will no longer as government. This is one of the way to keep them safety, people without high sense with not going to make demonstration and changes.



The hope is only by ourselves, means we have to upgrade our mentality and intelligence.



That all is my view.

2.45am, 29th Jun 2008 is a very defining time for me. Germany lose... Sadly to believe that Germany is lose without a goal.

Anyway life still have to keep going on as what YY said, enjoy the wonderful second of the game, even Germany lose. But they had been try they best...

Anyway is the only match to Germany, the glory is waiting for Germany. With the discipline and the fighting spirit from the team, final glory will be own by Germany. Oh YEAH!!!

第八︰學校裡可能不再分優勝者或落後者，但是現實生活不是如此。在美國一些學校，廢除了等級，讓學生不斷嘗試以便及格。但在現實生活中這完全是不可能的。
第九︰現實生活並沒有像在學校有不同的學段，你沒有夏日假期。沒有幾個僱主會有興趣讓你有時間反省，你用自己的時間吧。
第十︰電視劇並不真實，真實生活裡大家都要離開咖啡座去幹活。
第十一︰對於卑微的人必要好好相待，很可能有一天你會替他打工。

油价起了！！！

2008年6月4日 5.36pm. 我国“尊敬”的首相宣布汽油价格由RM 1.92 起至RM 2.70. 涨幅大约40%左右。这项的决定也议决亲爱的大马子民需要去适应高油价的日常生活了。我对此决定感到非常的沮丧，感觉上就好像是他们说了算这样，他们完全没去询问民意。现在百姓活在水深火热中，此举完全把百姓们的推向火坑。我个人非常的不满！！！

政府最无能的是在做决定的时候，一个说是8月才执行，一会儿又说近来会执行。完完全全是无能！！！给人的感觉就像是在做马戏团般的！

很无奈！！！

在此呼吁各位记得下届大选前做选民，然后投对面！！！！

於是他把一隻兔子放進樹林，看他們如何把兔子抓回來。

反贪污局派出大批調查人員進入樹林，

武吉阿曼出動人馬包圍了樹林，命令兔子出來投降，
